Jordan Hu

Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Jordan Hu developed an early passion for mathematics and analytical thinking. After earning a degree in mathematics from National Tsing Hua University, he pursued graduate studies in computer science at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He began his career on Wall Street at Salomon Brothers, Goldman Sachs, and Citigroup. In 2001, Hu founded RiskVal to create a real-time fixed income trading analytics and risk management solution tailored to the needs of the trading floor. Today, the company’s platforms are widely adopted by major financial institutions across the U.S. and globally. Beyond his work in financial technology, Hu is deeply committed to expanding educational opportunities and fostering innovation. He served on the New Jersey Institute of Technology’s Board of Trustees, and the university honored him by naming the Jordan Hu College of Science and Liberal Arts in his recognition. In 2026, he established the 胡國琳館 at National Tsing Hua University, home to the RiskVal Research Center. For his entrepreneurial vision and impact, Hu was named a regional Entrepreneur Of The Year by Ernst & Young.
