About the Opportunity

RiskVal Financial Solutions is currently seeking a full-time Java developer with strong fundamental skills in Object Oriented Programming & Development.  We are a global supplier of Software as a Service (SaaS) for risk management, portfolio management, and trading strategies, servicing most top-tier buy side and sell side trading firms across Wall Street.

RiskVal is headquartered in Princeton, NJ, but the position is hybrid to allow candidates the flexibility to work remotely. 

Qualifications and Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Java

• Strong fundamentals in OOP / OOD

• Experience with multi-threaded/concurrent programming

• Strong understanding of data structures and design patterns

• Background / Degree in computer science or engineering

• Well-versed in the following is a plus: Unix/Linux scripting, Shell, Python

• Middleware and messaging experience is a plus

• Unix / Linux Scripting, Shell is a plus

• Solid SDLC experience (build, test, deploy, etc.)

• Demonstrated ability to work in a small group setting to rapidly develop new products

• Disciplined

• Volunteering experience is a plus
