About us

2001

RiskVal founded

RiskVal was established in 2001 by the founder and current CEO, Jordan Hu. He brought together a team of highly experienced and knowledgeable quantitative analysts and software engineers to create a front office platform that was not only powerful but flexible to evolve with the market in real-time.

Launched first product - RVFI

2003

The first official version of RiskVal Fixed-Income (RVFI) became available in 2003 after two years of production. Its first client is one of the largest North American private companies, and it has since been deployed on the trading desks of almost all Tier 1 Banks in North America.

Asia office opened

2009

Recognized by the industry

RiskVal received attention from industry analysts and critics. The company is first noticed by financial media at the Finextra Innovation Showcase of 2009 for adapting quickly to changing market conditions during the downturn. Moreover, RiskVal received first place award from Waters Rankings.

Later in 2009, in response to industry recognition, new products, and record growth in 2008 and 2009, RiskVal opened a new permanent office in Taipei, Taiwan to allow for 24- hour support operations.

2010

RVPortfolio launched

RiskVal released RiskVal Portfolio (RVPortfolio), a real-time SaaS which offers enterprise-wide fully integrated real-time bucket risk analysis, in addition to real-time P/L.
